Maximum quota

There is a maximum number of registrations available for all distances. Payment reception may close without prior notice if quotas are filled. In that case, athletes who have only completed the registration form without payment will lose their spot.

Registration requirements

To register, you must fill out the form in the “Registrations” section and pay the registration fee.

IF YOU ARE URUGUAYAN: Make sure to have one of the following documents at hand:
– Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the National Sports Secretariat
– OR medical certificate
– OR a doctor’s note stating that there are no contraindications for running in the race
You will be required to upload a photo of one of these documents in the registration form.

IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER: Just fill out the form and pay your registration fee in the “Registrations” section.
When collecting your race kit, you must present a medical certificate and sign a health declaration form (see “Kit Collection” below).

The medical certificate or doctor’s note is a legal requirement for all distances (Article 8 of Executive Decree 312/2021).

URUGUAYAN ATHLETES (in uruguayan pesos):

  • Marathon:          $ 2.500
  • Half Marathon: $ 1.800
  • 10k y 5k:              $ 1.200

FOREIGN ATHLETES (in US Dollars):

  • Marathon:        USD 90
  • Half Mrathon: USD 65
  • 10k y 5k:           USD 45

Kit pick up

When and where?

  • Friday, September 5, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, September 6, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Location: Enjoy Punta del Este (Rambla and Parada 4, Playa Mansa)

To collect your kit, you must present:

1) A valid ID document

2) Signed waiver form (download here). Participants under 18 years of age running in the 10k or 5k must present a waiver signed by themselves and by a parent or legal guardian.

3) If you registered and paid through one of our authorized agents, you must present the voucher.

4) Foreign athletes must provide a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to participate. They must also sign a health declaration form upon kit collection (see text here).

The kit includes:

  • Bib number
  • Electronic timing chip.
  • Official event t-shirt (gift; sizes subject to availability at pickup)

Start and Finish

Start and finish lines will be located at Rambla Circunvalación José Artigas and Las Focas, 200 meters from Parada 1 (Playa Mansa)

  • Marathon 42k:              08:00 AM
  • Half Marathon 21k:      08:15 AM
  • 10k Race:                       08:15 AM
  • 5k Race:                         08:15 AM
  • Mini-Marathon “Kids”: Saturday, September 06 at 04:00 PM

Categories

For the 10k and 5k races: one men’s category and one women’s category.
For the Marathon and Half Marathon, the categories are:

– Category A: 18 to 24 years old.
– Category B: 25 to 29 years old.
– Category C: 30 to 34 years old.
– Category D: 35 to 39 years old.
– Category E: 40 to 44 years old.
– Category F: 45 to 49 years old.
– Category G: 50 to 54 years old.
– Category H: 55 to 59 years old.
– Category I: 60 to 64 years old.
– Category J: 65 years and older.
– Category K: Athletes with disabilities.

Categories apply equally to men and women and are determined by the athlete’s age on race day. The organization reserves the right to request ID to verify age.

At the startline:

  • Bag check service (you can leave your belongings before the race and pick them up at the finish line)
  • Water stations
  • First aid medical tent
  • Portable toilets

On course:

  • Traffic-free route (safety managed by the Maldonado Municipality Transit Department)
  • Clearly marked course with floor signage, cones, and staff at critical points.
  • Kilometer markers every 1 km
  • Course measurement certified according to World Athletics  standards.
  • Mobile emergency services available throughout the course.
  • Water and isotonic drink stations at the locations listed in the “Course Maps” section.
  • Portable toilets available at kilometers 10, 20, and 30 (marathon circuit).
  • Easily identifiable pacers with target times (to be announced during the week prior to the event).
  • Course marshals at U-turn points.

Finish line:

  • Electronic timing.
  • “Finisher” medals for all participants who complete their race.
  • Tables with fruit, snacks, and beverages.
  • Medical tent (Red Cross)
  • Ambulance service
  • Portable toilets
  • Music and live announcements
  • Awards ceremony

Kids Mini-Marathon - 2k

  • Maximum age: 13 years old (as of race day).
  • There is no time-based classification.
  • Registration is free.
  • All children who cross the finish line will receive a medal

IMPORTANT:

  • Uruguayan children must present a valid health card or a medical certificate confirming they are fit to participate. This is a legal requirement.
  • Children from other countries must submit a health declaration signed by a parent or legal guardian.
